... but you can call me trom. Let's leave the formalities out of this.

I've been using wikis since before they were cool: way back in 2005. That was about the same time Bulbapedia got started, but I was over on that other wiki then. I was a regular editor there for about three years or so. It was at that point, 2008, that I stumbled upon this wiki, got brainwashed, and got promoted to administrator a few months later.

These days, I'm a member of the Editorial Board. I guess that means that sometimes I'm allowed to make decisions about how things get run. More probably, it means you can pester me if you want something done. I have previously served in the role of Community Development Officer (2010-11) and am currently the Deputy Editor-in-Chief. You can read about what that means down below.

Additionally, I help run the Bulbagarden Archives and am the current Managing Editor of Bulbagarden's news branch, Bulbanews.

If you need me for any reason, the talk page is the best way to contact me. I'm on here pretty much every day.

That's lovely, but who exactly am I?
Well, if you really must know, I'm a third-year university student living in New Zealand. I've visited Australia, Singapore, Germany, and the Netherlands. I speak a little German, and can translate from Australian into English. I have three cats, two trombones, and a trumpet. My hobbies include playing those trombones and driving to the other side of town to visit my cats. I do not live with the cats anymore; I live with four of the coolest people I know. And this guy.

I exist.

I got into Pokémon when I was about eight or nine. This was mainly through watching my friends play the old black-and-white versions (as opposed to the new Black and White Versions) and the anime. My first game was Pokémon Diamond. This was followed by Pokémon SoulSilver, Pokémon Black and Pokémon White. I've played through borrowed versions of Pokémon FireRed, Sapphire, and Emerald. I am not very good at Mario Kart DS.

My interests include (but are not limited to) wiki software, mathematics, the English language, education, music and the performing arts, internet communities, social psychology, chocolate, and the Pokémon phenomenon. This is a very interesting book. It covers many of my interests. However, it has very little information about chocolate and may put you to sleep.

If I won $28 million, I would stay at university for a very long time. Knowledge is power.

And this is important because...?
It's actually not. But I thought you'd want to know a bit about me. And I don't really like userboxes.

Two-and-a-bit years is a long time on the internet. Three years is even longer, and in the two-and-a-bit years that I've been on Bulbapedia, I've edited in pretty much every section that exists. Games. Anime. Manga. Merchandise. Music. Movies. TCG. Most of the time, I'm cleaning up edits on pages I don't know anything about. Sometimes, it would appear that most of you don't know anything about that stuff either. But that's why the wiki is here: to learn from. Before asking about something, try searching for it.

I throw my weight around on talk pages a lot. I'm not actually that heavy (it's the winter fur, honest), so don't be shy to disagree with me. I will always try and explain my view as clear as possible so that you can understand why I am right. Or, alternatively, I will submit defeat in a graceful fashion and vanish in a puff of logic.

As someone who has to enforce the rules, a major focus of mine on the wiki is making sure the rules are clear. I have already rewritten the talk page policy and the welcome template. I'm working on the Main Page at the moment, but am open to other tasks. Let me know if something is broken. Look through this category and give me some feedback. This is your wiki, too.

This is my to-do list. I hate it more than a lobster hates a pot of boiling water. This is probably because lobsters are unaware of what will happen if they decide to take some time out of their busy schedules to relax at a day spa.

This is a list of my subpages. Most of them are things I'm working on. You can help with these little projects if you want; just leave a note on the relevant talk page.

I maintain an interest in the user-driven aspects of the wiki. These include Golden Bulbasaur Awards and Bulbapedia's Projects. If you know someone who deserves a sparkly little Pokémon to make up for their blood, sweat, and tears, drop me a line.

Also, if you have any issues with anything to do with any of the Bulbawikis, please let me know. Whether we've got wrong information, someone's being a dick, or my edits are just plain terrible, I want to hear about it. I won't bite.

Unless you've got chocolate.

That was a lot to read :(
Yes, it was. Sorry. It wasn't even particularly interesting. Or colorful. So here are some pictures of cute kitty cats.

All done here? Good. Go clean up a stub.
