Tracey's Scyther (Japanese: ケンジのストライク Kenji's Strike) was the only Pokémon caught by Tracey Sketchit in his journey through the Orange Islands. As a matter of fact, it was the only Pokémon ever to be seen captured by Tracey. It is voiced by Unshō Ishizuka in the Japanese version and by Eric Stuart in the English dub.

Wild Scyther stay in groups with the strongest in charge. When one Scyther defeats the leader, that Scyther is made leader and the ex-leader is no longer allowed to be part of the group. The group came across an old Scyther that had suffered such a fate in Tracey Gets Bugged. It was very weak but continued to fight their Pokémon out of pride. Eventually, Tracey managed to capture it out of the necessity to bring it back to the Pokémon Center. Though Scyther managed to rescue its group from Team Rocket, it travelled with Tracey and became his main battler. However, due to its age Scyther often becomes tired easily.

Scyther briefly feuded with Ash's Charizard in A Way Off Day Off. However, this subsided out of the necessity to defeat Team Rocket again and the two gained respect for each other.

Because it is elderly, Tracey's Scyther looks slightly different than other Scythers. It has what appears to be fur growning on the sides of its face while younger ones are firm and spike-like. Also its wings are knicked in some places. And what's probably the most obvious difference is that its missing its two top fangs.

Scyther has rarely appeared since Tracey arrived in Pallet Town as he tends to keep his Pokémon in his Poké Balls. However, it was the Pokémon that Tracey used in the battle against Butch and Cassidy when they stole all of the Poké Balls at the lab in Showdown at the Oak Corral.
