Name origin
Dorapion's name may be derived from the English scorpion.
Dorapion appears to be a stylized scorpion.
Other Information
Dorapion looks similar to Gligar, leading some people to believe that the two are related; however, this is unlikely due to the fact that Dorapion is a Poison/Dark-type, and Gilgar is a Ground/Flying-type.
