Amy Birnbaum

Amy Birnbaum is an American voice actress and singer who worked for the English-language dub of the Pokémon anime.

Biography

Birnbaum was one of the original voice actors on Pokémon. She mostly played characters of the day until Pokémon the Series: Ruby and Sapphire, when she was cast as Max. She voiced the character until the end of the eighth season when 4Kids Entertainment gave up the dubbing and distribution of the series to Pokémon USA and TAJ Productions. Kayzie Rogers took over the role of Max, and Birnbaum has not returned to voice any characters on the show since. She retired from voice acting in 2009 to focus on her music career.
