Hello and welcome to my userpage! I'm Zesty Cactus, a twenty-three-year-old Pokémon fan from Canada.
A bit about me
I was first introduced to Pokémon via the TCG, my very first card was a Water Energy. At the time, I only wanted cards so I could trade them with other kids (since that was the fad at the time) but gradually I learned more about the characters that appeared on the cards, and the rest was history. Shortly thereafter, I was given my own Game Boy Pocket and a copy of Pokémon Red Version (Allegedly, my mother went to the store and they were sold out of Game Boy Colors, so she got me the Pocket instead). Since then, I've played games from every single generation (Generation III is still my favourite). As for side games, I've basically played all of them (I even own Pokémon Project Studio Red and Blue!) but my favourites so far are the Pokémon Ranger series, Pokémon Card GB 1 & 2, PokéPark and PokéPark 2, and Pokémon Typing Adventure :)
I don't really follow the anime closely anymore (though I do catch it on TV once in a while and I keep buying all the DVDs), but I loooove Pokémon manga :). I collect all kinds of Pokémon manga not just for the wiki but also it's my hobby. Most of my early edits were for Pokémon CDs until I gradually moved on to writing about merchandise, books, and Pokémon manga. Basically, I started off by writing about things I knew I had in my collection but were absent from the wiki.
Generally, most of my edits are for Project Manga. I am perpetually working on adding manga chapters, appearances, volumes, especially the mangas that aren't Pokémon Adventures (since those ones are usually neglected by other users). I collect Pokémon merchandise, so I also add things to articles relating to Project Merchandise from time to time. I'm also a member of Project Globe and Project Music since those are subjects that interest me as well.
I do try to lurk the recent changes every day, keeping track of the changes and new edits to the site. I was first promoted to Junior Administrator rank in 2010 and have since been promoted to the Editorial Board, so please let me know if you need any assistance, or if you have any questions about Bulbapedia, Pokémon, manga pages or anything else! Other interests
I have no life outside Bulbapedia
Apart from the wiki, my interests include listening to music, collecting records and VHS movies, playing other video games (like The Legend of Zelda), reading manga (Pokémon- and non-Pokémon related), watching The Simpsons, hanging out with friends, and the like.
