Mega Evolution (Japanese: メガシンカ Mega Evolution) is a transformation method found only in the Kalos region. Mega Evolutions are identified by having "Mega" in front of their name.
In order to undergo a Mega Evolution, the Pokémon must be holding the applicable Mega Stone, and meet a currently unspecified other condition. Mega Evolution can only occur in battle and disappears after the battle is over.
Korrina knows secrets about Mega Evolution. The Tower of Mastery is also related to Mega Evolution in some way.
Effects
A Mega Evolved Pokémon has higher stats and can have a different Ability or type than its Mega Pre-Evolution.
