Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Team Go Getters Out of the Gate is a special episode of the Pokémon anime. It was first broadcast in USA on September 8, 2006 on Cartoon Network.
Unlike previous special episodes, this does not take place in any continuity of the main storyline. Instead, the plot is based on the spinoff games Pokémon Mystery Dungeon. The story involves a young child turning into a Squirtle and teaming up with a Chikorita and Charmander to form a Rescue Team.
Synopsis
Major events

Comparison with the game
Spoiler warning: Major plot or ending details for the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon game may follow.
- The Caterpie rescue mission and the Magnemite rescue missions were omitted.
- The mission to Sinister Cave is actually the third storyline mission you get in the game, after completing the two mentioned above.
- Team A.C.T. do in fact go to Magma Cavern in the game, however, it is to battle Groudon, not to rescue Plusle and Minun. The player eventually goes to Magma Cavern themselves, in the penultimate storyline mission.
