Release information

This card was included in the Battle Styles expansion, first released in the Japanese Single Strike Master expansion. In Japan, it was reprinted as a Holofoil S-P Promotional card and was one of the cards participants received upon entry into regional Champion's League events held during the 2021-2022 season. These included the 2022 Kyoto Champion's League, held at the Kyoto Pulse Plaza on October 3, 2021;[1] the 2022 Fukuoka Champion's League, held at Marine Messe Fukuoka, Fukuoka on November 3, 2021;[2] the 2022 Aichi Champion's League, held at the Aichi International Exhibition Center, Tokoname on March 27, 2022;[3] and the 2022 Yokohama Champion's League, held at the Pacifico Yokohama on May 8, 2022.[4] The S-P Promotional print was also one of the cards participants received upon entry into the 2022 Pokémon Japan Championships, which were held at Makuhari Messe, Chiba on June 11 and 12, 2022.[5]

The Master League tournaments at the Aichi and Yokohama Champion's League meetings and the 2022 Pokémon Japan Championships were livestreamed on video platforms Niconico and YouTube, during which prizes could be won through Twitter campaigns. People wishing to enter either competition were required to follow the Twitter accounts of Ponyta Ishii, Raichu Umekawa, and Nanapple, all of whom are hosts on the official Pokémon Card Channel, and tweet messages of support. Those doing so during the March 27 broadcast of the Aichi Master League tournament with the hashtag #ポケカCL2022愛知, Pokéca CL2022 Aichi, during the May 8 broadcast of the Yokohama Master League tournament with the hashtag #ポケカCL2022横浜, Pokéca CL2022 Yokohama, or over the course of the 2022 Pokémon Japan Championships Master League tournament with the hashtag #ポケカPJCS2022, Pokéca PJCS2022, were entered into prize lotteries. Twenty winners were selected from each draw, each of which received a copy of this print and one random promotional Energy card.[6][7][8] This print features the Championship Series 2022 logo in the bottom left corner of the illustration. In Japan, it was reprinted again in the Start Deck 100 (available in both Non Holofoil and Mirror Holofoil versions) and as a Mirror Holofoil in the Start Deck 100 CoroCoro Comic Version.
