Walkthrough:Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl/Part 6

This is the Bulbapedia walkthrough for Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
These pages follow the remade Nintendo Switch iteration, not Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. The guide for those games can be found here.

Grand Underground

These additional Pokémon Hideaways are found throughout the Grand Underground. Like all hideaways, Pokémon levels scale with your Gym Badges and more Pokémon unlock as you collect TMs and earn badges.

Riverbank Cave

Riverbank Cave is a wooded, water-adjacent biome with a mix of Water-type and forest Pokémon. Psyduck, Buizel, and Croagunk can be found here from the start. Murkrow is a Pokémon Brilliant Diamond-exclusive encounter in this cave. Gible becomes available after earning the Icicle Badge.

Volcanic Cave

Volcanic Cave is a lava-heated rocky biome home to Fire-type Pokémon. Only few Pokémon appears here initially, but after obtaining the National Pokédex, many Fire-type Pokémon appear here. Of interest, Houndoom appears as a rare spawn.

Sandsear Cave

Sandsear Cave is a hot, arid biome with very few initial encounters. Only Onix and Skorupi can be found from the start. Ponyta unlocks after obtaining TM96 (Strength), and Hippopotas after obtaining TM97 (Defog). Many Fire and Ground-type Pokémon join after obtaining the National Pokédex.

Dazzling Cave

Dazzling Cave is a uniquely themed biome home to Psychic and Ghost-type Pokémon. Gastly can be caught here from the start, offering earlier access to the Gengar line compared to the Old Chateau. In Pokémon Shining Pearl, Misdreavus also appears here as a version-exclusive, making this a convenient place to catch it compared to the Eterna Forest night encounter. Kadabra and Girafarig unlock after obtaining TM97 (Defog), and Mr. Mime after the Icicle Badge.

Still-Water Cavern

Still-Water Cavern is a large cavern variant of Riverbank Cave, featuring the same Pokémon on a grander scale. It offers the same selection of Water-type and forest Pokémon, including Croagunk and the eventual Gible after the Icicle Badge.

Big Bluff Cavern

Big Bluff Cavern is a large cavern variant of the rocky cave biomes. Like Rocky Cave, it is home to Geodude, Onix, and Skorupi from the start, with Bronzor after TM96 (Strength) and Hippopotas after TM97 (Defog).
