Ash's age

Please don't keep changing Ash's age from 10 which was his last confirmed age to 10+ as this hasn't been confirmed. Please check hidden notes or talk pages for why we do this. BigDocFan, Junior Admin Bulbapedia (talk) 14:26, 14 May 2025 (UTC)

Ash's age again

Ash's age is 10 years old. There's no confusion about this. As is stated in the reference from the most official website, pokemon.co.jp , Ash is 10 years old. This is regardless of any perceived passage of time by fans of Pokémon, or within the show itself. With Ash now retired from the animated series, this situation is extremely unlikely to ever change.

From the talk page message from the staff member above, I see that you've previously attempted to change his age. Please do not attempt to change the age on the Ash Ketchum page again, or you risk further consequences, including a block. Thespeon196 (talk) 08:16, 5 July 2025 (UTC)

That's what I am saying Ash i s forever 10 year old inspite of passage of time. So his age should be mentioned as eternal 10 year old just like that executive director stated. This should be done to avoid any confusion as I am seeing many new fans kept saying Ash has travelled only 1 year because he states his age to be 10 in 1st episode and since this bulba site also says he is still 10. So fans believes he has travelled only 1 year in his journey. So what should be done avoid that?? I am asking this question what should be done to avoid that confusion, misunderstanding. I do understand what you're saying. Ash was 10 in the original series, and he's 10 in his last series, Pokémon Journeys: The Series. From this, we know the characters do not age in Pokémon the Series, so they remain the same age forever, which for Ash is 10 years old as stated on the official site. But it's for that reason that putting "Eternally 10 years old" for Ash's age is not needed, because all the characters with known ages do not age either. It's clearer, simpler, and accurate to just state the age cited through the official material, as we do on the site here. Thespeon196 (talk) 10:15, 5 July 2025 (UTC)

lance aged clearly, Serena design changed to her older looking. Misty navel is now shown to be upside her clothes, in the original it's her under clothes, so she likely grew taller. Also ash in hoenn, before parting with Misty and brock in last episode of jhoto, ash's height has shown to misty's height(equal to her). Previously, it was 3-4 inches difference. Hoenn Ash and Misty in ag was at same height.

Kukui son born, many people do have aged older. So people do have aged.

More importantly, if ash was only 10, that executive director kunhiko yayama will not state ash to be eternally 10 year old and he said time passes but ash remains 10 forever.

Some characters have visually changed throughout the 25 years of Pokémon the Series, yes. Though given the different animation style changes throughout the years, that's not surprising. But their ages, if known, have stayed the same.

Rather than continuing to argue this on your talk page though, I would suggest voicing your concerns on the Ash Ketchum talk page, or on the Project anime talk page to get a wider range of views and perspectives.
