The Halloween 2023 — Double Candy Research event was held between October 30 and November 6, 2023. The event location was limited to Greengrass Isle and it introduced three Pokémon to the game, Pikachu (Halloween), Shuppet, and Banette. On October 30 when the Halloween event and the Good Sleep Day event overlapped, effects from both events were applied.
During the event a remix of the Lavender Town theme from the main series games played on Greengrass Island arranged by Shota Kageyama [1] and the tent was covered in lights with pumpkins adorning the campsite, including some in Pikachu and Poké Ball shapes.

Event Bonuses
If the player camped at Greengrass Isle throughout this week, they had increased encounter chances for certain Pokémon and there was limited time missions available to complete which granted Handy Candy, Poké Biscuits and Pikachu (Halloween) Incense. Most days of the event, players would receive twice the amount of candies after their first sleep research, with a few Pokémon of different sleep types appearing. On October 31st and November 5th however, players were granted triple the amount of candy after their first sleep and could encounter many Pokémon of different sleep types.
On October 30, on which the Halloween event and the Good Sleep Day event overlap, effects from both events were applied, meaning drowsy power was multiplied by 1.5×, Pokémon received double the experience after sleep research, players received an extra 500 sleep points and Cleffa, Clefairy and Clefable were more likely to be encountered.

New Pokémon
Three new Pokémon with a total of nine new sleep styles were featured. Pikachu with a Halloween hat was a temporary addition exclusive to Greengrass Isle that could not be evolved, after the event, Pikachu (Halloween) could only be encountered by using an incense. Shuppet and Banette became permanent additions to both Greengrass Isle and Taupe Hollow, however, ★★★ Shuppet and Banette can only be found at Taupe Hollow.
