CREATURES

  • Single contribution for PCG – Moltres ex. PLAY Promo, arguably ADV rather than PCG.
  • Single contribution for PCG – Articuno ex. PLAY Promo, arguably ADV rather than PCG.
  • Single contribution for PCG – Zapdos ex. PLAY Promo, arguably ADV rather than PCG.

CREATURES TCG ARTWORK (includes speculation..)

  • Visual benefit of chart undermined by how large this is.
  • Need to more clearly delineate who is known to be CR staff, who is likely to be CR staff, and who is maybe CR staff. There are also some definitely nots to be eliminated.
  • Need to x-ref for completeness, and x-ref against other staff PKMNWiki has identified as CR staff.
  • "P3D" may need to be opened up to more broadly include other CR produced games such as the Ranger series, Poképark, et al.
  • May need to add a Gen 5 column to make a point about how suddenly artists are no longer credited but instead folded back into "5ban graphics".
  • This chart would be a start point to improve respective quality of author articles. No amount of finessing can fix how cumbersome it is and trying to make it fit in mainspace is a lost cause.

This chart includes speculation!!!

  1. i.e. the Pokédex 3D.
  2. Includes cards where Imakuni is credited as "Imakuni?"
  3. 3.0 3.1 3.2 3.3 3.4 3.5 3.6 Includes credit for a Lucky Stadium print.
  4. Resigned from Creatures c.2002.
  5. 5.0 5.1 5.2 5.3 5.4 5.5 5.6 5.7 Contributions to era include ADV ex1.
  6. 6.0 6.1 Co-credited with CR CG cards on some cards.
  7. 7.0 7.1 Shinichi Yoshikawa may be an alias of Kai Ishikawa (or vice versa). This is speculation that needs to be explained – unlikely to ever be fit for mainspace.
  8. 8.0 8.1 8.2 8.3 8.4 Credited with CR CG gangs on all cards.
  9. 9.0 9.1 9.2 Contributions to era include art for PCG Unown cards.
  10. Occasionally Kei Hoshiba, as per [1]
  11. 11.0 11.1 Unlike other Gym Leaders in Pokémon VS, Brock's artwork is not done by a single artist. Instead, K.Hoshiba does the artwork for Brock's Omastar, and Katsura Tabata does the artwork for Brock's Kabutops. This is not *entirely* unlike the situation with Rocket's Pokémon – while GAME FREAK's Hironobu Yoshida does the artwork for all Rocket's Pokémon in the set, the 3DCG artwork for the 2 Rocket's P Promos – Rocket's Scizor and Rocket's Sneasel – are again split between Hoshiba and Tabata.
  12. 12.0 12.1 12.2 Contribution to era includes one of Moltres ex, Articuno ex, or Zapdos ex. These 3 PLAY Promos appears to be a deliberate "Creatures trio".
  13. 13.0 13.1 13.2 It is hard to tell if K. Hoshiba contributed new art for the eras or if old artwork was being recycled. See [2] for a visual overview.
  14. Occasionally Miiky Isobe.
  15. n.b. e-Reader credits do not specify if Isobe is Creatures staff.
  16. Keita Komatsuya is credited as a graphic designer. c.f. Hiroaki Ato, Sachi Matoba.
  17. Unknown whether Creatures, Game Freak, or otherwise at time of contributions. Credited on several Creatures-developed projects years later. Recently credited as a member of TPC as per [3]
  18. 18.0 18.1 18.2 18.3 18.4 18.5 18.6 Contributions to era are only in ADV ex1.
  19. In a 2013 interview, Ujiie identified herself as a Director of Creatures.
  20. Credited with CR CG gangs and/or Benimaru Itoh on all cards.
  21. Co-credit with Ken Sugimori on No.1 Trainer. Ito would be responsible for the 3D graphics placed behind Sugimori stock art. [4]
  22. Credited in Pokémon Stadium 2, Pokémon Colosseum, et al.
  23. Incredibly likely to be Misaki Nakaoka, as credited on Pokédex 3D. I have carried this assumption out to its entirety in this chart.
  24. 24.0 24.1 24.2 24.3 Contribution to era includes one of Groudon ex, Kyogre ex, Tyranitar ex δ, Gardevoir ex δ . These cards are the 'main' cards of their respective theme decks, and the focus on Creatures staff as their artists appears to be deliberate.
  25. Credited in Pokémon Battle Revolution.
