It also works with Gen II and Gen I, where there were no item sprites. Just put a "no" at the end!

I was wondering if someone could edit this template to include the ability to have the image and the item itself to be able to not share the same link. Especially since some items share their name with other articles, leading to several items linking to their disambiguation page. --Super goku (talk) 17:51, 31 October 2013 (UTC)

Someday update
The item by pocket pages were partly made because pockets were complicating items by index number. With the pockets taken care of on their own pages now, that info isn't necessary on the items by index number pages. (I also realized a few other things that could be changed while checking on the parameters for the documentation...)
TBD:
- Remove pockets (remove parameters/code, fix affected pages)
- Parameter 9 should just be taken care of by sprite; remove the parameter and fix affected pages
- Parameter 5 shouldn't use an asterisk note/hovertext. Either notes above the table about the colored rows should be fine; or maybe just add an "exclusivity" column or something, maybe with "All" for the default. (I don't think sups after the item name would be great.)
This is a reminder to myself if I come back when I feel I have more time. Or if anyone else wants to make these changes.
