How do you know this guy is Paul's brother? The episode hasn't even aired yet. JmathTalk 17:58, 29 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

How do we know this guy exists at all? Because he is mentioned in the blurb on TV Tokyo's website. We do get information on the episodes before they air. --FabuVinny T-C-S 18:10, 29 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
Could you give me a link to the website? JmathTalk 18:14, 29 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thanks a lot. I really appreciate it. JmathTalk 18:23, 29 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

I found a pic which was in the preview in the episode. You think this is Paul's brother? 180px JmathTalk 19:24, 31 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

That's him, it does seem. TTEchidnaGSDS! 22:56, 31 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
He doesn't seem to have those demented eyes like Paul has. You know, how Paul's pupil's are really small. I guess he is a nice guy. --ケンジ ガール 08:23, 1 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Dub name

What do you think Reiji's dub name is going to be? JmathTalk 18:45, 31 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Ringo. There's no other way. --Maxim 19:13, 31 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
Why Ringo? JmathTalk 19:18, 31 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
Paul McCartney and Ringo Star. Isn't it obvious? --Maxim 19:40, 31 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
Oh, cool! --Theryguy512 20:52, 31 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
Lol うずまきハルカ 20:57, 31 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
I'm thinking it'll be "Reggie", the nearest English equivilent. Maxim's idea is cute, though. - Cassius335 22:35, 31 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
If his name's Reggie, he has to be about kicking ass and taking names. TTEchidnaGSDS! 22:55, 31 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
I think his name will be Reggie too. --'ケンジ'ガール 08:23, 1 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Chances of it being Reggie is very less. The name Reggie and Paul bear no similarity. If you look at all the siblings in Pokémon, they all have (almost) similar names. JmathTalk 17:55, 2 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Peter could also be a good name... Two little dickie birds, sitting on a wall...--Manga-in-a-bottle 10:30, 1 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Or could it be Raul?-Billy4b2004 04:33, 9 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Oh no.....--Theryguy512 13:34, 9 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
He's right...I thinks Raul is a 99.99% never-gonna-happen. OptimatumTalk|12:50 7 Mar 2008

Trivia

This really seems like fanwank to me. I mean, yeah, his name is Shinji, but does that automatically mean everything about him is an NGE tribute? His personality is pretty much the complete opposite of the NGE Shinji, so it really doesn't seem likely. Unless there's any proof that the writers actually meant to reference NGE with these character names, or they decide to introduce some second cousin named Asuka or something, I feel that it should be removed from the article. --Dual 16:56, 4 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

This is not about whether the writers wanted it or not. It's just a funny coincidence that they have similar names. That's why it's in trivia. JmathTalk 17:41, 4 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
That seems like a rather poor reason to include it in an article. =/ --Dual 02:23, 5 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Dude, it's Trivia. No one really cares. --'ケンジ'ガール 02:43, 5 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
If that was the case, it wouldn't be included in the first place. --Dual 08:03, 5 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Dual, you're overthinking it. I was just noting the coincedence. We're not going to get conformation from the writers for every little thing... or anything, for that matter.
You're right: Shinji on it's own means nothing. Shinji and someone with 'Rei' in his name? That's at least suspicious. Ok, Reiji is neither a girl nor (as far as we know) has several back-up clones, but that's beside the point... - Cassius335 13:51, 5 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Picture

Why do we have to use THAT picture. The other one was way better. The one we have now is just so bland. --'ケンジ'ガール 20:34, 15 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Ask Jmath... - Cassius335 20:45, 15 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Do you think...

Do you think that maybe Paul his hard on his Pokémon because he wants to be better than Reiji? All this time I belived that Paul came from some strange family or was a member of Team Galatic but it turned out he's from a regular one. I can't understand why he would treat his Pokémon in such a way when his own brother treats them exactly the opposite other than he wants to surpass his brother in strenght. Look at all the badges he had. I bet Paul is jealous. In short, could this be mentioned on Paul or Reiji's page? --'ケンジ'ガール 07:48, 1 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Well...That is a theory...but pure speculation. OptimatumTalk|08:19 1 Mar 2008
Perhaps Paul has two fathers, a real father and an adopted father,Cyrus.-Billy4b2004 10:29, 2 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Dude, calm down. No need to type in all caps. And to the other comment, that seems pretty unrealistic. --'ケンジ'ガール 03:29, 8 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Reiji's dub name and English voice confirmed?

I came across this: [3] If you look at Tom Wayland's bio it says that he is the voice of "Reggie" on Pokémon. Trainer-c 20:47, 19 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Wait until it happens. Unless there's a dub audio clip to prove it, nothing's proven. Trust me, dub spoilers should also be guarded against, not just Japanese ones. --Shiningpikablu252 20:58, 19 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
Aw. If it's true, I was kinda hoping Reggie Fils-Aime himself would be doing the voice. TTEchidna 04:06, 9 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
HA HA! I knew it! If it's true ofcourse. Ew... Tom Wayland. --ケンジガール 05:19, 9 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
OMG. I hope it's not true! I don't want Reiji to have a feminine name! --Maxim 16:50, 9 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
Reggie is a name for boys and girls. It stems from Reginald if a boy and Regina if a girl. But I think of it as more of a boy name than a girl name. --ケンジガール 22:21, 13 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Like Reggie Miller and Reggie Jackson--KukiTalk 22:28, 13 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Or Reggie Fils-Aime, current President of NoA...
Nonetheless, it has always seemed more feminine to me. Almost all unisex names seem more feminine to me. Because it's anime stereotype to give gay males gender-neutral names (like アスカ Asuka or カオル Kaoru or even ヨシ Yoshi). Reiji may look a bit gay, but in the terms of personality he's not gay at any bit, that's why I don't want him to get a "gay" name. --Maxim 13:58, 17 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Like Rocket Power's Reggie Rocket! 4 minutes til we find out!--KukiTalk 13:27, 19 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Should we get Bibarel's Super Fang?--KukiTalk 13:49, 19 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

maybe--Bakunawa 15:07, 18 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

The Pokémon

Would it be acceptable to make articles about Reiji's Pokémon since he is not technically a character of the day? ShinjiLover 02:57, 21 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Maybe I guess but only for Staraptor since its his main Pokemon Livinlarge18 14:44, 21 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Need more proof?.--Force Fire talk 13:19, 5 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

uhm, what are you proving? Was that the Bibarel's gender?--Kevzo8 13:27, 5 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
yeah what do you think?--Force Fire talk 13:32, 5 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
like what others think, as well as what the page says, + your proof, Bibarel is undoubtedly a female. --Kevzo8 13:44, 5 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
I only put it here because Jmath doesn't believe it's female.--Force Fire talk 13:51, 5 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
well, what do you expect. Maybe because of its official art. Compared to the anime, their masks are the same. Also, it is hard to distinguish the gender differences in the anime as male Bibarel hasn't appeared yet in the anime. Try showing him one and he'll be convinced.--Kevzo8 14:13, 5 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
Already did.--Force Fire talk 14:15, 5 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
A male Bibarel? where?--Kevzo8 14:21, 5 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
I'll get you one... *never does* --Force Fire talk 14:31, 5 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
Size differences aren't enough proof of gender. Different animators work on different episode and each draws differently and there will be size discrepancies. Same with Gligar's stinger. Jmath 19:07, 5 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
This isn't about size discreptancies. The male Bibarel's mask is not "bigger". The mask is more butterly shaped while females have the V shape. And Reggie's Bibarel clearly has the V shaped mask. Maybe it isn't female due to anime and games being different but it resembles the female sprite, which is what should be desplayed on the page. --ケンジガール 05:11, 6 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
Besides, IMO, Bibarel is one of the easiest Pokémon to tell the difference between male and female.--Force Fire talk 05:24, 6 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
Has a Bibarel with the butterfly mask ever appeared in the anime? Till now every Bibarel had the v-shaped mask and they can't all be female. This could be the standard design for all Bibarel in the anime. Jmath 13:36, 6 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
It's only been the first 109 episodes of DP, A male bibarel wont appear until DP125... But just leave the Sprite.--FF(edits-talk) 14:08, 6 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Isn't 109 episodes more than enough? Jmath 14:13, 6 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Car in "Reggie and Paul" picture

I haven't actually seen the episode where the picture of Reggie and Paul near the bottom of the takes place, but it seems to me that the steering wheel of the car is on the right hand side, like in England. Does anyone who's seen that episode know if the car belongs to Reggie, and if that makes him British? - unsigned comment from Silver-Lapras (talkcontribs)

The steering wheel is on the right side in Japan as well as many other countries. England is not the only one. --ケンジガール 03:56, 29 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
Granted, it's difficult to tell which side of the car the steering wheel is on as a standard in the Pokémon world. Although it probably varies by country, trust me, if there's an episode which has a left-side drive vehicle and a right-side drive vehicle both involved in the same chase (Butch drove left-side, Daisy drove right-side), then it's really difficult to tell just what the standards are! --Shiningpikablu252 14:40, 29 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
Okay, thanks, that clears things up.- unsigned comment from Silver-Lapras (talkcontribs)

Reggie's/Paul's Drapion

Here's the undone edit. just to be clear, was it undone because of poor wording? Or something else? Unowninator (talk) 00:02, 25 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

That's speculation. There's no indication that he could've given his Drapion to Paul.--ForceFire 03:52, 25 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
