Temporary Lock of Page

I am suggesting this as the person who had originally created the idea for the day has been outed as a sexual predator. I simply think it might be good to give this page a temporary lock down so as to prevent people from vandalizing it. Pikatwig (talk) 23:47, 15 July 2021 (UTC)

The Pokémon Company has adopted the hashtag, if the problem is the user who initiated it, it would be fairer to remove the person's quote or something like that. It does not make sense for the page to be deleted or locked by actions of third parties.--Hikaru Wazana (talk) 23:00, 18 July 2021 (UTC)

Entity Mays Situation

So recently the person who created the hashtag #NationalAshKetchumDay was founded do be a pedophille and I see since we are also linking to his page. I was wondering if we should remove the name and replace it with something mroe general. Izington (talk) 15:54, 17 July 2021 (UTC)

National vs World

Should this page be renamed as World Ash Ketchum Day? It has been called "World Ash Ketchum Day" since last year I think, and this name better represents the scale of its acknowledgement and is not retraceable to EM and that whole can of worms. Shinka (talk) 01:57, 16 September 2022 (UTC)

Deletion discussion

I would suggest putting the page under the dual use of Project Real Life and Project Fandom, which would allow community usage to contribute to this article's content. Salmancer (talk) 13:43, 10 January 2024 (UTC)

If the April Fool's Day articles include fandom content, I see no reason for this article not to. They are both out of world holidays which get celebrated by the brand, with the only difference being April Fools Day often has in world ramifications. Expanded scope and history merge

This page's scope has been expanded to encompass all official Pokémon franchise social media accounts as well as notable social media trends and events. The page history of National Ash Ketchum Day has been merged with the developmental revisions for the new Pokémon social media page, the content of which has now been mainspaced and moved to the current title.
