Are these ever actually referred to as tasks? Aren't they just missions? Landfish7 11:58, 21 October 2025 (UTC)

- Internally they are referred to "quest" but I think both this page and the one for PLA should probably be moved to mission. PLA can also be "Missions & Requests" if we really want. 4iamking 13:42, 21 October 2025 (UTC)
- PLA is fine (even preferred) to stay at Task, but ZA should definitedly move to Mission. Analyzing the langauge used in both games in both English and Japanese we have the following.
- PLA
- Task (任務)
- Mission (メイン任務)
- Request (サブ任務)
- Research task (図鑑タスク)
- Task (任務)
- ZA
- Mission (ミッション)
- Main mission (メインミッション)
- Side mission (サイドミッション)
- Mable's research [task/work/request] (モミジリサーチ)
- Mission (ミッション)
- None of their Japanese names are the same between PLA and ZA either, so nothing's been renamed to consider retroactively applying. Until there's more data from potentially a third game, it would be in our best interest (in line with our standards) to follow the langauge as offered by the games themselves: i.e. Task for PLA and Mission for ZA. - We pulled "tasks" directly from the game text, where it is both named and immediately defined.
- Press the Y Button while consulting the map on your Arc Phone, and you can check the tasks you have waiting. There are two types: missions and requests. Missions must be completed to progress in your adventure, while requests are optional and given by people you meet.
