If the Pokémon this card is attached to is in the Active Spot and is damaged by an attack from your opponent's Pokémon (even if this Pokémon is Knocked Out), put 2 damage counters on the Attacking Pokémon.

Release information

This card was included as a Regular card and a Full Art gold-etched hyper rare card in the Journey Together expansion, first released in the Japanese Battle Partners expansion. The illustrator for both prints is unknown.

In Japan, the Regular print of this card is reprinted in the Start Deck 100 Battle Collection.

Trivia

• This card can be taken as the Energy card equivalent of the Pokémon Tool card Rocky Helmet.
• The Traditional Chinese (Taiwan and Hong Kong) release of this card incorrectly translates the card's name as 扣殺能量 Kòushā Néngliàng, using the word 扣殺 kòushā / kausaat, which actually translates to "spike" or "smash" as in the sports term (whereby a ball is forcefully sent straight to the opposing court), and not "spike" as in a pointed object. The Simplified Chinese (mainland China) release fixes this translation.
