:This is an incredible analysis, but I do have one piece of information that kinda throws a wrench in it: Porygon. In Firered, its Pokédex entry implies that it was a ''very'' recently created Pokémon, based on the Pokédex's use of "the most advanced technologies", and not including "of its time" or any similar phrase that would indicate a particularly distant past. Meanwhile, its entry in Sun states that it was created "roughly 20 years ago". In other words, there's a 20-year gap between the Kanto games and the Alola ones.
