Nintendo Music (Japanese: ニンテンドーミュージック Nintendo Music) is a music streaming app published by Nintendo that is available as part of a Nintendo Switch Online subscription. It allows the user to listen to the soundtracks of select Nintendo games and software, including certain Pokémon games.
The service was announced and launched for Android and iOS devices on October 30, 2024, with additional soundtracks being regularly added over time (usually weekly). In an update released on June 1, 2026, support for computers (via web app), tablets, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay was added. The web version can be viewed even if the user does not have a Nintendo Switch Online subscription, but playing tracks requires a subscription.
Though the app is available in numerous languages, most of its soundtracks (including all of the Pokémon soundtracks) only have Japanese and English track titles, with all other languages reusing the English names for the tracks.
Availability
Accessing the service requires linking to a Nintendo Account that has an active Nintendo Switch Online subscription. As such, the app is only available in countries that have a Nintendo Switch eShop.[1]
Features
The app includes a selection of pre-made music playlists, with users having the ability to create and share their own playlists. By default, a "Favorites" playlist is made, and any track the user marks with a star will be added to the Favorites playlist.
A spoiler prevention category can be found in the user settings, which allows the user to toggle any game on or off to hide spoilers, preventing tracks from that game from being listened to. This feature does not remove any tracks from playlists, but does block the title and cover.
The "Extend to..." feature allows the length of certain tracks to be extended to either 5, 10, 15, 30, or 60 minutes; however, no tracks from Pokémon games support this feature. An update added a sleep timer option, which automatically stops any playlists or tracks from being played up to 5, 10, 15, 30, or 60 minutes of play time.
Users have the ability to download their playlists for offline listening. These downloads will be wiped after a while, regardless of use.
Most tracks on the app have an accompanying image to represent them, which is generally a screenshot from the game showing where the track would play. Some tracks lack a unique associated image, such as those that play in scenes containing major spoilers for the game; these instead display the game's cover artwork as the track image.
Pokémon soundtracks
Every game on the app has an "All tracks" playlist, which contains all of the game's tracks, and a "Top tracks" playlist, which contains a smaller selection. Most games also have other unique pre-made playlists. The "Find your favorites" section on the home page features "Top tracks" playlists from various games. In the Europe and Australia/New Zealand regions, the "All tracks" and "Top tracks" playlists are named "All Tracks" and "Top Tracks", respectively, and the "Find your favorites" section is named "Rediscover Classics".
Certain games have a "Related Games" section on their pages, which lists other games on the app that are in the same series. The Pokémon games on the app are all listed as related to each other.
By default, the app's "Search" screen groups games by the platform they released on.

Pokémon FireRed Version and Pokémon LeafGreen Version

The soundtrack for Pokémon FireRed Version and Pokémon LeafGreen Version was added on February 20, 2026,[2] coinciding with the announcement of the games' re-releases on Nintendo Switch. The "All tracks" playlist contains all 64 tracks from the game and is 1 hour and 21 minutes long. The tracks are mostly the same as those in the Pokémon FireRed & Pokémon LeafGreen: Super Music Collection, but eleven short jingles and four bonus tracks are omitted.

Trivia
- The screenshots used for the app's Pokémon soundtracks generally depict a consistent save file for each game.
- In the screenshots for the Pokémon FireRed Version and Pokémon LeafGreen Version soundtrack, the version used is FireRed rather than LeafGreen, and the player is male and chooses Charmander as their first partner Pokémon.
- The player's party in the screenshot for the "Hall of Fame" track is identical to Red's team from Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver.
- In the screenshots for the Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield soundtrack, the player is female, chooses Scorbunny as their first partner Pokémon, chooses the Tower of Darkness over the Tower of Waters (except for the one track exclusive to the latter), chooses the Iceroot Carrot over the Shaderoot Carrot, and chooses Regieleki over Regidrago at the Split-Decision Ruins. Additionally, the version used for most of the screenshots is Sword, with the exception of the two tracks associated with Avery (as these tracks are exclusive to Shield).
- In the screenshots for the Pokémon Legends: Arceus soundtrack, the player is male, chooses Rowlet as their first partner Pokémon, and chooses Irida over Adaman to help with the trials of the lakes.
- In the screenshots for the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet soundtrack, the version used is Scarlet rather than Violet, and the player is female and chooses Sprigatito as their first partner Pokémon.
- In the screenshots for the Pokémon FireRed Version and Pokémon LeafGreen Version soundtrack, the version used is FireRed rather than LeafGreen, and the player is male and chooses Charmander as their first partner Pokémon.
