This card is part of a series of Holofoil Full Art illustration rare-style cards that depict first partner Pokémon, released to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Pokémon franchise. Each card in this series features the Pokémon 30th Anniversary logo.

This card is released internationally as an MEP Black Star Promotional card included in the First Partner Illustration Collection Series 3, released on August 7, 2026.[1]

In Japan, this card is released in the 30th CELEBRATION Card Set Chespin & Fennekin & Froakie product on October 16, 2026.[2]

Trivia

This card forms a combined illustration with the MEP Promotional Chespin and Fennekin, together representing the first partner Pokémon trio of the Kalos region.
