Since 2014, there have been a number of pop-up Pokémon cafés, used to promote various events, such as movie and game releases.

Pikachu Café

The Pikachu Café (Japanese: ピカチュウカフェ) was a pop-up café that opened as part of the Pokémon the Movie XY Exhibition from July 19 - August 31, 2014, to celebrate the release of Pokémon the Movie: Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction in cinemas in Japan.[1]

The Pokémon Cafe Ω Ruby & α Sapphire was a pop-up café that opened to celebrate the release of Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, from January 9 - February 28, 2015. The café was hosted by THE GUEST Cafe & Diner, located within Shibuya PARCO, in Tokyo, Japan.[2][3] The café had an exclusive menu and a series of merchandise available. There was also a Pokémon Cafe Pikachu event Pokémon, for Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, distributed at the café for the duration of its opening.

Pikachu and the Pokémon Band Café

The Pikachu and the Pokémon Band Café by Sweets Paradise (Japanese: ピカチュウとポケモンおんがくたいカフェ by Sweets Paradise) was a pop-up café that opened as part of the Summer Vacation Pokémon Carnival in Sunshine City event at the Sunshine City mall in Tokyo, Japan, from July 18 to September 27, 2015.[4]

Pokémon Cafe @ EWF - a concept by PARCO was the name of two pop-up cafés hosted by the Everything with Fries café, located in the PARCO Bugis Junction mall, in Singapore. The café was open between May 27 - July 31, 2016.[5]

The café opened for a second time at Everything with Fries between November 24, 2016 - February 19, 2017, as part of the Pikachu Wave Singapore event.[6][7]

Pokémon Cafe @ AEON 1F Midvalley

The Pokémon Cafe @ AEON 1F Midvalley was a pop-up café hosted by the Anista TOKYO theme café within the AEON Midvalley store in the Mid Valley Megamall, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.[9] The café was open from November 28, 2016 to February 28, 2017.[10]

Pokémon Cafe

Pokémon Cafe was a pop-up café hosted by the Food & Play theme restaurant located within Eslite Spectrum Wuchang, in Taipei, Taiwan. Originally scheduled to be open from November 19, 2017 to January 30, 2018,[11] popular demand meant the opening was extended to February 28, 2018.[12]

Pokémon Sword & Shield Shop & Café (Chinese: Pokémon劍盾 Shop & Café) was a pop-up café located within Shin Kong Mitsukoshi A8, Xinyi Plaza, in Taipei, Taiwan, that was open from December 12, 2019 to February 6, 2020.[15][16]
