Generally, the user's sync move always lands as a critical hit on all targeted opponents. It will not land as a critical hit if the Critical-Hit Defense effect has been applied to the opponent's field of play or if the opponent has a passive skill that protects it against critical hits. If the user's sync move targets all opponents, and one of them has a passive skill that protects against critical hits, the sync move will only land as a critical hit on the opponents that do not have that passive skill.
