Cappucci Island (Japanese: カプチ島 Cappucci Island) is an island located south of central Ryme City in the game Detective Pikachu. It can be reached by a 45 minute ferry service which runs once a day between the island and the main city. It is known for its beaches and wooden houses in its small town, while also being the home of John Waals. The island is also home to Lake Cappucci (Japanese: カプチ湖 Lake Cappucci), where a lake festival was traditionally held. Most of Chapter 4 takes place here.
Cappucci Island has a subtropical climate due to the warm currents and effects of geothermal heat. Pokémon different to the mainland live here due to its different climate. The previously uninhabited island was only incorporated as a part of Ryme City once a small village had formed in the past[1].
