Manabu badgers Uratane constantly begging him to explain what the official championship is. Eventually Uratane gives and says he will explain what the official circuit is and what it entails. However, he says he will only do it if Manabu can beat him using the structure deck and expansion pack given to him by the strange man. Manabu agrees and they commence their battles. Despite Manabu's vigor, he is unable to win against Uratane who is using a Mega Charizard X to wipe out all of Manabu's Pokémon before he can establish them. Manabu is able to gain victory by drawing a Pyroar promo he got from an issue of CoroCoro Ichiban. That Pyroar lets Manabu remove one energy from Uratane's Mega Charizard to prevent it from attacking. Furthermore, due to Mega Charizard milling Uratane's deck every-time it attacked, he no longer has any energy in his deck to attach to it. This lets Manabu ready his own Mega Charizard Y and gain victory.
