Beyond the Pokédex, also known as Pokémon: Beyond the Pokédex,[1] is a monthly web series created by The Pokémon Company International and uploaded on the official English PokémonYouTube channel. Each episode focuses on one Pokémon; the series's hosts, Spruce and Maple, elaborate on the featured Pokémon and its Pokédex entries, as well as its appearances in various Pokémon media such as the games, animation, manga, and TCG. In many episodes, the featured Pokémon was one that also prominently appeared in some other content posted on official Pokémon social media around the same time.
The series's first season ran for a year, from July 2023 to July 2024, with a total of thirteen episodes. The second season ran from April 2025 to November 2025, with a total of seven episodes. Alongside the second season, a series of YouTube Shorts was released, featuring Spruce and/or Maple sharing facts about particular Pokémon; a total of 21 shorts were released.
