The Pokémon Sports Day 2026 (Korean: 포켓몬 스포츠데이 2026) was held in Seoul, South Korea on May 24-25, 2026. It was the second annual Pokémon Sports Day event. The event played host to the Pokémon Trainers Cup 2026 (PTC) (Korean:포켓몬 트레이너스 컵 2026) Pokémon Champions VGC tournament, the 2026 Korean League Final Season (Korean: 2026 코리안리그 파이널 시즌) Pokémon Trading Card Game tournament, the South Korean qualifiers of the Pokémon GO Asia Championship Series 2026. Additionally it also featured a side Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket tournament, while the finals of the Pokémon UNITE South Korean qualifiers 2026 are being held simultaneously online.
Video Game Championships

In VGC, 64 players per division competed according to their age, divided into Juniors, Seniors, and Masters.
Matches took place in Pokémon Champions under Regulation Set M-A and were all Double Battles with open team sheets. Matches consisted of best-of-three 20 minute games.
The tournament structure consisted of up to six Swiss rounds, with the top 16 players proceeding to Phase 2. These players were placed in an asymmetrical single elimination bracket.
The top sixteen finalists in each age division won a direct invite to the 2026 Pokémon World Championships, while the top four players in each division were additionally granted a travel stipend.

Trading Card Game

In the TCG, players competed according to their age division, divided into Juniors, Seniors, and Masters.
The 2026-27 Standard format was used, allowing all cards with regulation mark
through Ninja Spinner.
The tournament structure consisted of a series of best-of-three Swiss rounds, with players accumulating a certain threshold of Match Points proceeding to Phase 2. These players continued playing Swiss rounds in Phase 2, and at the conclusion of the Swiss rounds players with match points equal to or greater than the 8th placed player in the post Swiss standings were placed in an asymmetrical single elimination bracket.
The top four finalists in each age division won a direct invite to the 2026 Pokémon World Championships in addition to cash prizes.

Pokémon GO

In Pokémon GO, competitors were not divided into age brackets.
A limited meta Great League format was used, meaning only certain Pokémon with a CP of 1500 or less are allowed. As part of this limited meta, only Pokémon of the Fairy, Normal, Psychic, and Water types could be used. Shadow Pokémon were also explicitly allowed. The Dark, Grass, and Steel types, Mega Evolution, and the following specific Pokémon were banned:
The tournament structure began with a double elimination pools phase, the top two players from each pool then played in a double elimination bracket until the two finalists remained. All matches were best-of-three, except for Winners Finals, Losers Finals, and Grand Finals, which were best-of-five.
The eight finalists won a direct invite to the 2026 Pokémon World Championships in addition to cash prizes, with the winner of the tournament also winning a travel award.
