Storm Drain (Japanese: よびみず Pump Preparation) is an ability introduced in Generation IV that draws all Water attacks to the Pokémon. Four Pokémon have this ability, all of them Water-type. In a double battle, a Pokémon with this ability will force all single-target water attacks used by other Pokémon to exclusively strike it; this ability is rendered ineffective in a single battle. Unlike with Lightningrod, no types are immune to Water; therefore, the four Pokémon with this ability take half or full damage from Water attacks, rendering it less useful in general than a Ground-type with Lightningrod. Water attacks also have 100% accuracy whether aimed at a Storm Drain user or not.
