Sketch is a non-damaging Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation II. It is the signature move of Smeargle. Although, after using Sketch it is lost, Smeargle can learn it again every ten levels.
Effect
Generation II
Sketch allows the user to copy the opponent's last move permanently, therefore replacing Sketch. Sketch cannot be used to copy Selfdestruct, Explosion or Metronome.
Generation IV
The effects of Skectch continue into this generation, however, Sketch cannot be used to copy Chatter.
