Rory (Japanese: ミキオ Mikio) is a character of the day who appeared in Spring Fever. He is a professional hot spring digger who travels around the world with his daughter, Peggy, digging hot springs. Large hotels hire him to dig these hot springs in order to build large resorts.

| Rory's three Swinub—Su (Japanese: ウー U), Ein (Japanese: リー Ri), and Ub (Japanese: ムー Moo) are the Pokémon Rory uses to locate possible hot spring sources. When Team Rocket interfered with such a locating operation, the three Swinub were kidnapped, then rescued, and finally battled against Wobbuffet, Arbok, Weezing, and Victreebel, freezing them.
