The Pokémon Battle Tour 09 Challenge Deck (Japanese: ポケモンバトルツアー09 チャレンジデッキ Pokémon Battle Tour 09 Challenge Deck) is a Japanese-exclusive Half Deck for the Pokémon Trading Card Game.

Information

This Half Deck was available to buy during the Pokémon Battle Tour '09 for players to use in battles, marketed as a "rental deck". The main focus was to get beginners into the game through exposure to Half Deck battles before playing with Full decks. Experienced players could also buy them, along with the two decks from the recently released Advent of Arceus expansion as Rental Decks.

The Half Deck consists of straight reprints from Moonlit Pursuit/Dawn Dash, Cry from the Mysterious/Temple of Anger, Intense Fight in the Destroyed Sky, the Garchomp vs Charizard SP Deck Kit and the Arceus LV.X Deck: Grass & Fire. These cards feature no unique symbol or set number, unlike most Japanese special releases. The only new card is the promotional Heatran, which is exclusive to the Half Deck.
