Low Kick (Japanese: けたぐり Kick Down) is a damage-dealing Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation I that deals varying damage.

Effect

Generation I

Low Kick has a power of 50 and has a 29.7% chance of causing the target to flinch.

Low Kick can't make a target with a Substitute flinch.

Generation II

Same as before, but with a 30% chance of flinching instead.

Generation III and onwards

Low Kick doesn't have a standard power; rather, it inflicts greater damage on a heavier target. Low Kick's power is calculated as follows:

Target's Weight Power
0.1 - 22 lb. 20
22.1 - 55 lb. 40
55.1 - 110 lb. 60
110.1 - 220 lb. 80
220.1 - 440 lb. 100
440.1 lb. or more 120

Mystery Dungeon

The damage done by Low Kick is increased or decreased based on the target of the attack (approximately by weight), from 60% to 140%.
