Leaf Guard (Japanese: リーフガード Leaf Guard) is an ability that prevents status problems in sunny weather. This is like Safeguard in that it does not heal self inflicted statuses, such as from Rest. Six Pokémon have this ability. See also Hydration. It was introduced in Generation IV.
