Our group feels lost on the Izabe Island. They don't have any maps or information about it. The island is full of craters of some kind. Ash throws a rock to see what's in them. An orange head pops out and swallows the rock. Ash checks the Pokédex about it. The Dex says that it's a Trapinch. They realize that the craters are made by Trapinch. A pretty woman comes in her car and tells the crew that they are trespassing. Brock has another crush. She introduces herself as Elisa. May tells Elisa that they didn't know the place was restricted. While he was speaking how it doesn't look dangerous, Ash fell in a crater. Elisa saved him by throwing a rope. She explained the group that there is an underground tunnel known as ˝The Trapinch Underground Labyrinth˝. The group comes with Elisa to drive them to safety. They encountered a guy running from a Donphan. Elisa says ˝not again˝and calls out her Meganium. It released scent from its petals. Donphan calmed down. The guy thanks Elisa for saving him again. She introduces the guy as Hal. Hal explained that he was looking for a Trapinch with a transmitter on its back. Team Rocket watches them from underground. They decide to surprise the group from underneath with their Diglett machine. Hal says that he is searching for a lake in ˝The Trapinch Labyrinth˝. He told them the story about how he saw it for the first time. He wanted to see how does it look like and he fell in a crater. He lost consciousness. When he woke up he saw a huge, beautiful lake. He saw many Trapinch gathered around. Then they all evolved into Vibrava at the same time. They fled away. All of a sudden Hal found himself back outside of the labyrinth. That's why he started his career as a Pokémon Researcher. They saw the Trapinch heading into a crater. Suddenly, the earth starts shaking. The Diglett machine pops out and grabs Pikachu. Team Rocket comes out and tells their motto. Ash tells Pikachu to use Thunderbolt. Of course, it doesn't work. Brock calls out his Ludicolo and tells it to use Water Gun. The Diglett rolls in one of the craters and many Trapinch start biting it. Soon they ate it whole. Team Rocket and Pikachu fall through the mud. Ash goes to save Pikachu, and Elisa goes with him. The transmitter Trapinch comes too. Team Rocket, Ash's Pikachu, Ash with Elisa and Trapinch, all fall on a different spot. The rest of the group and Hal track them with a transmitter. Hal decides to go there by himself. Ash doesn't want to leave the labyrinth without Pikachu, so he and Elisa follow the transmitter Trapinch. Team Rocket encounters a Trapinch and they decide to catch it for Giovanni. Meowth thinks that the Trapinch could crack walnuts for him. While they were thinking about it, Trapinch got away. They decide to follow Hal. Meanwhile, the rest of the group falls down too. They fall just in front of Ash and Elisa. The flood comes and they start running. They end up in a lake that Hal was talking about. Pikachu was there too. The transmitter Trapinch and Hal also come. Elisa tells Hal that she's sorry. Many Trapinch, including the transmitter one, gather around to evolve. And they did so (the transmitter fell off Trapinch's back during the evolution). As the Vibrava fly off, Team Rocket catches them into a net. Brock calls his Ludicolo, and Elisa calls her Meganium. Ludicolo uses Bullet Seed and Meganium uses Razor Leaf to set Vibrava free. Jessie tells her Dustox to use Poison Sting and James tells his Cacnea to use Pin Missile. Vibrava defend the group with Supersonic. Team Rocket blast off again. Vibrava saved the group by flying. Hal decided to keep the lake as a secret because he wanted to find it only for Elisa.
