Am I dealing with completely different pronunciation laws or something? Because to me, "Junsā" would be pronounced "jun-say", with the long a that the bar indicates--BJG

You've been entirely too far corrupted by English pronunciation. It is true, that once upon a time, the English long a was really a long a (say father. Now stretch that vowel, without changing its quality, and you get close to what a real long a is.) But, the power of sound change changed [a:] to [eI], which is its present value. (If you want to learn more, read up on the Great Vowel Shift.) - 振霖T 09:53, 18 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Only the sound in 'father' isn't a long a, it's an 'ah' sound. - unsigned comment from Blackjack Gabbiani (talkcontribs)

Only in English (and a few other languages that happen to have had the same sound shifts) would a long a (and certainly not long [a], although long /a/ you may have a case) be pronounced [eI]. The International Phonetic Association definition of a long [a] is what I'm talking about, and it is remarkably close to the sound in father, as well as Junsā. (And if an ah sound is [a:], then how is the exclamatory ah pronounced? [a:] as well? Don't think so... That's why there's a phonetic alphabet for describing sounds without relying on certain pronounciations of certain words in English (which varies by region anyway).) - 振霖T 12:48, 18 Mar 2005 (UTC)

(And if an ah sound is [a:], then how is the exclamatory ah pronounced? [a:] as well? Don't think so.. That's how I've always said it --BJG

Blastoise

when did she have one? Mooites 23:18, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

I guess she never had one. I reviewed her appearances in the anime yet I didn't saw her with a Blastoise.--☆Kevzo8 05:42, 24 January 2009 (UTC)

Policeman

Why was the bit that the Policeman Trainer class was based after Jenny??? Just like Jenny, they originally used Growlithes... --Theryguy512 02:26, 21 February 2009 (UTC)

A verb in that sentence would help. The Dark Fiddler - 10% Satisfaction Guaranteed! 02:27, 21 February 2009 (UTC)
Oh...sorry. Let's try that again : Why was the bit that the Policeman Trainer class was based after Jenny taken out??? Just like Jenny, they originally used Growlithes... --Theryguy512 02:29, 21 February 2009 (UTC)
Cops use police dogs. Growlithe happens to be a dog Pokémon. That doesn't mean they were inspired by Officer Jenny. And Pokémon names are plural. You should just say Growlithe, not Growlithes. --ケンジガール 02:30, 21 February 2009 (UTC)
Probably because, to my knowledge, the anime came after the game. Jenny would be modeled after the trainer class, not the other way around - but I could be wrong. --AUXIA (talk) 02:34, 21 February 2009 (UTC)
The Policeman trainer class didn't appear until Gold and Silver. Officer Jenny was there before then. --ケンジガール 02:35, 21 February 2009 (UTC)
Oh, you're right. Sorry, I forgot Police were introduced in Generation II. --AUXIA (talk) 02:37, 21 February 2009 (UTC)

Notable ones

Don't you think that notable Jennys and Joys should be noted, or even created articles for them (like the COD ones)? Some Jennys and Joys through the series had had a more important role that the others, like DP115's Jenny and AG161's Joy, for example. - Rikki Kitsune ~ リッキ キツネ 21:05, 27 February 2009 (UTC)

Jenny's hair

I was watching the japanese first opening (mezase pokemon master) and notice she has green hair there, which I think is weird because she does have it blue in some episodes... I don't remember why I'm posting this anyway xD, maybe I was looking for coments about it :D--YukitoOoO 04:39, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

You can put this in the error section of the Japanese Opening if yuo are sure.--Prongs (TalkContributions) 04:57, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

Oops I think I posted this in the wrong place in the first...place, I thought I was in Officer Jenny's talk, not her glowlithe's xD sorry, and no I don't think it's an error in the opening, I think the error actually goes on the coloring in those some episodes.--YukitoOoO 07:29, 30 March 2009 (UTC)
