Nana (Japanese: ) was one of the first Pokémon that Ruby has gotten in the Pokémon Special manga.

History

Nana first appeared as a Poochyena. Nana was capable of using a different version of Hyper Beam when it was still a Poochyena, and its powers fully manifested after it evolved into a Mightyena at Granite Cave. After Ruby decided to pursue the path of Contests, Nana became in charge of the Cool category.

Trivia

• Ruby has a Mightyena with the name Nana and a Castform with the name Popo, both of which seem to share their names with the Ice Climbers.
