Casey (Japanese: ナナコ Nanako) is a nominally recurring character in the Pokémon anime. Her English name, a reference to the poem "Casey At the Bat", means "brave", and her Japanese name can be taken to mean "seventh child" (七子), although usually only male children are numbered. She and her family are fans of the Electabuzz baseball team. She started with a Chikorita, presumably from Professor Elm of New Bark Town. Her Japanese seiyu is 熊谷ニーナ Nīna Kumagaya.
