Is there a Shipping for Casey and Ash, and what is its name? §#!π¥£!Ψ@Ϛ#µ 00:41, 17 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

I believe it is called BaseballShipping. Kobra 23:00, 23 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Look at her hair

I mean look at it... she seems as if she might have been based on the early designs for Kris, but reworked. TTEchidna 08:12, 26 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

That's unlikely. Early before the release of Pokémon Crystal, they were going to have a different female character but it was different when they released it. JacobTheDoduo 04:05, 4 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Merge?

Rattata and Pidgey? It looks weird now. ht14 21:53, 29 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

OK, I've gone ahead and de-weird-ified it. Even if the consensus was to merge the entry (we don't know what it is just yet), it should at least look more professional in the meantime. --Shiningpikablu252 01:56, 30 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Stub?

In what way is this article a stub? Seem pretty detailed to me. Taromon 13:17, 1 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Rival or Supporting Cast?

I noticed in the "Anime Characters" box at the bottom, Casey is under "Supporting Characters." Wouldn't she be more fittingly put under "Rivals?" I know they never faced off in the League or anything, but they did compete in that Bug-catching contest, and had a competitive interaction from the get-go. ShinyAeon 16:47, 16 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

For me, she's a minor rival, like Kenyan. Also she is one especies of "prototype" for rival friendlys similar to Bianca, Barry and Morrison.--Hikaru Wazana 04:30 19 July 2011

Relation to Crystal/Kris?

I can't directly reply to something TTEchidna brought up above, because the conversation is so old, so I have to continue this as a new thread. Another thing that points to Casey as being a possible analog to Crystal's female protagonist is her name – Nanako. If you were to count the number of games in existence at the time of her debut, you'd have six – Red, Green, Blue, Yellow, Gold, and Silver. Naming her Nanako anticipates the eventual existence of an "upper version" of Gold and Silver, which would be the seventh game in the RPG series, and could've allowed her to "end up being" the anime incarnation of the protagonist of those games.

We later saw something similar in the manga, when Platinum was given the name of 'Lady Berlitz' as a placeholder until her namesake game was announced. From a design perspective, I think the COTD of EP069 anticipates Kris more than Casey does, and ultimately any possible connection between Casey and Crystal became a moot point when Kris became her own entity in the anime continuity. I don't think any of this could be fit into the article proper, but some of it could perhaps one day work its way into the Trivia section. --INTERNETFRIEND (talk) 16:33, 12 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Brown or red eyes?

While the main article claims Casey's eyes are brown, but they look much more "red" to me. I mean yes, "red eyes" sounds ridiculous, but even looking at the main page image shows that her eyes are kind of a darkish red color rather than brown. It appears that in the cel-shaded appearances Casey had, her eyes actually were brown (and her hair was more of a blueish purple than being simply purple), however in her digitally animated appearances starting in EP261 up until her final appearances in Chronicles, her eyes were a darkish red. --CaseyElectabuzz (talk) 04:09, 13 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
