Celebi (Japanese: セレビィ Cerebi, German, French: Celebi, Korean: 세레비 Celebi) is a Legendary Psychic/Grass-type, first appearing in Generation II. It has only been officially available in the Japanese version of Pokémon Crystal (via Nintendo's Mobile System GB service, which was discontinued on December 14, 2002) and through the Japanese Pokémon Colosseum bonus disk, as well as various promotional events.
Celebi comes with the ability Natural Cure, which heals a status ailment (Burn, Paralyze, Sleep, Poison, Freeze) when the Pokémon is withdrawn from battle.
Their have been rumors spread that Celebi can be caught in Pokémon Sapphire and/or Pokémon Ruby on Ruotes 121 and/or 123 with an encounter chance lower than finding a shiny with Pokérus.
Celebi does not evolve.
