This pages is really long, so can someone make all the tables collapsible? CrazyPikmin (My Edits) 12:32, 6 March 2023 (UTC)

Making all the tables collapsible is only gonna help shrink the page length so much. I'd rather we make separate articles for each event - that'd solve the problem of the page being too long, and it'd make it far easier to link to a specific event on individual characters' pages and the like. Having to directly link to a specific section on this page is kind of a pain. Right now to link to a specific event you have to type "In the story event Dazzling Dizzying Battle Stage...", and it'd be much faster to type something like "In the story event Dazzling Dizzying Battle Stage...". I'd be willing to do the legwork of making all the different articles and fixing the links and stuff, but I'd like to hear others' opinions on the matter before I start doing such a drastic renovation. That's sounds like a better idea, I added a split tag. CrazyPikmin (My Edits) 07:56, 11 April 2023 (UTC)
That seems like a lot of pages. Might it make sense to split it by year instead? On that note, if we do split it by story event, it might make sense to merge the script pages into those pages. Landfish7 18:16, 11 April 2023 (UTC)
None of the pages would be really short if the scripts are included, probably all between 1.000 and 15.000 bits. I think splitting the pages and adding the scripts is the best option. CrazyPikmin (My Edits) 07:16, 12 April 2023 (UTC)
Works for me. I can work on drafts for this later to get the ball rolling. Landfish7 07:22, 12 April 2023 (UTC)
I hadn't thought about putting the scripts on the pages, but that makes a lot of sense! I'm good with that concept. I was playing around with making infoboxes the other day, so I whipped up a quick draft of what an infobox for these event pages might look like on my userpage. I used a solo event as the example, but those usually don't have much to speak of in terms of script, so they might not need individual pages. The format's exactly the same as you would see on a story event, though. Storm Aurora (talk) 21:46, 12 April 2023 (UTC)

(resetting indent)Here's a draft example for Reach for the Top. Feel free to add that infobox btw! Landfish7 23:01, 12 April 2023 (UTC)

And here's a draft example of what the main article might look like. Landfish7 01:01, 13 April 2023 (UTC)
Infobox added, I like the look of the drafts overall. Would it be possible to make some kind of navigation aid at the bottom of each individual event page so users can easily jump between different events? Or is that above our pay grade? Also, I'm thinking of using event banners (like this) as the image for events that don't have special promo art, though they're not in the Archives yet. I'll see if I can start getting those uploaded. Storm Aurora (talk) 05:14, 13 April 2023 (UTC)
I believe a navbox can be made in the userspace with the mainspace template placed at the top of the page and then moved to the mainspace once approved by staff. Landfish7 05:43, 13 April 2023 (UTC)
Made a rough draft of the navigation template. Storm Aurora (talk) 22:02, 13 April 2023 (UTC)
Looks great! Landfish7 22:17, 13 April 2023 (UTC)
Hmm, just realized something. The Halloween event from 2021 was called "Midnight Spookfest" on its initial run, but for the rerun the name was changed to "Midnight Battle Ball", with in-game text for the event changing to reflect those changes. It's easy enough to underline the text that changed in the script, but should the title of its page be the original name of the event or the new one? Storm Aurora (talk) 06:04, 14 April 2023 (UTC)

(resetting indent)I'd say let's stick with the original name. Landfish7 09:57, 14 April 2023 (UTC)

Works for me. I made a draft of the page for Midnight Spookfest to figure out how an event with multiple runs would be organized, and wound up adding a couple more sections too. Which got me wondering, is the plan to make pages for all the events in the userspace before moving any of them to the mainspace? Or do we just need to finalize the general format for the pages in the userspace and then start creating pages for the events in the mainspace directly? Storm Aurora (talk) 22:47, 15 April 2023 (UTC)
We'll need staff approval before moving them to the mainspace. I'll ask staff if they have a preference. Landfish7 23:27, 15 April 2023 (UTC)
Staff has given the go ahead to create the pages in the mainspace. We can also move the navbox into the mainspace, it just needs the colors adjusted to match the other Masters EX pages. Landfish7 18:45, 16 April 2023 (UTC)
I've moved the template to the mainspace and split out the two articles we've completed so far. Feel free to help out making the rest of the articles and fixing all the links and such! Appreciate all your help! Landfish7 05:09, 17 April 2023 (UTC)
You're welcome, I'm having fun with this and learning a lot! Before we make the rest of the articles, I think it'd be helpful to templatize that infobox I made so it stays consistent between pages (and we don't have to type as much stuff on each page, lol). I made a page for it, but I've never made a customizable template before so I hope I did it right... Storm Aurora (talk) 21:47, 17 April 2023 (UTC)

(resetting indent)Seems like a good idea! I've passed it along to staff. Landfish7 22:21, 17 April 2023 (UTC)

Staff wanted to know "What does the 'rewards' line mean? And how would you differentiate sync pairs with bonus for rewards vs those that give a bonus for strength?" Landfish7 10:14, 18 April 2023 (UTC)
The "rewards" line is meant to indicate how players use the items earned in the event to get rewards: exchanging them in the shop (exchange shop), using them to pull from a prize box (prize box), or using them to travel an event map (event map). I've changed the label to "Event item usage" to make it clearer, but if that still might be confusing, I can take the line out.
I had forgotten to consider reward bonuses vs. strength bonuses; I've split the "Theme skills with bonus" line into "Theme skills with reward bonus" and "Theme skills with strength bonus". I think that's all that's needed, because as far as I can recall, strength bonuses have never been given to individual sync pairs. They're given to all sync pairs with a certain theme skill. Plus, the amount of the strength bonus can vary between areas in the same event, so there's not much use in listing what the strength bonuses are in the infobox.
