Francois (Japanese: フランソワーズ Françoise) is a Magnemite that appears in Pokémon Journeys and the only known Pokémon to belongs to Ren.
In the anime
History
Francois was seen for the first time in the Best Friend...Worst Nightmare!, when the power of Cerise Lab goes out. Ren heads down to the basement to investigate what causes the blackout, and he calls Francois from its Pokéball to assist him. During the time in the basement, Ren and Francois was ambushed by a Gengar that haunted Cerise Laboratory. Ren commanded Francois to use Thunder Wave, but it was tangled in some electrical cords, and Gengar attack them with Night Shade. When Professor Cerise and Chrysa step into the Laboratory, they found Francois still tangled in the cords, they free it and Francois show to them where is Ren.
Later, in A Chilling Curse!, Francois reappeared during a flashback.
Personality and characteristics
Francois seems to be loyal to his trainer and a helpful Pokémon. It seems to be able to use Thunder Wave, but it never used.
