The Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon animated shorts are four animated short films uploaded to Nintendo Play!'s official Youtube account in the beginning of 2016.

A Day in the Life of My Old Pops

Plot

The short starts with Tarracosta cooking food after a long day's work. When, suddenly he gets soul images of a badly wounded Buizel. Shaking of the bad images, he realizes something is missing from his usually perfect meal. The sun is about to set so he have to run to not miss the shops closing. On the way home he meets a Swirlix who seemed to have eaten his meal. He runs home but there he finds Ampharos who's not quite sure why the food just dissappeared when he and Swirlix stepped through the door.

And so it was that Carracosta ended up losing his temper again that night, like every other night.

The Jellicent Show

Plot

It's the Jellicent Show! in a new segment where Jirachi from the Expedition Society has lent the observatory to the show. The guest of the night's show is Aunt Kangaskhan. Jellicent and Kangaskhan starts talking of how difficult it was to for Kangaskhan to get the buisness running and how she used to run a storage company before, how she liked working there, why she stopped running the company, because she as well as Duskull running the bank, were both made redundant due to Deposit Boxes. Then she starts to cry from all the memories, because she could not be happier running a café! That concludes the interview with Aunt Kangaskhan.

Pokémon Friendship

Plot

It's the Jellicent Show! in an episode where there are two guests and therefore two hosts. The guest of the night's show is Umbreon and Espeon. The Jellicent start asking them about how close they are, about how they cuddle on Post Town, and how they took advantage of the fact that they were alone in that icy palace floating in the sky when the world was about to end. Umbreon is about to confess what their real relationship is when he says that they can find it out if they connect to them with the Connection Orb. Espeon agrees. Jellicent is kinda disappointed that they would have to get to know Umbreon and Espeon before revealing their secret when Jellicent announces that the time's up. And that's the end of the show.

It’s Your Store Now!

Plot

A Kecleon is taking over his elder's store in Lively Town. He's sure it will not be as lively as his neighbor storekeeper Cofagrigus insists. Though just as he thinks this he realises that there all of a sudden is long line that lasts through the whole day. When checking inventory for the day Kecleon, realises he gave someone the wrong goods. He must have given someone the Grimy Food so he sets off to give them back their purchase. Once it's done he heads into the café and chats a bit with Aunt Kangaskhan about his tough day. Once there, Cofagrigus buys him a drink and Kecleon feels much more confident working the next day.
