Merciless (Japanese: ひとでなし Miscreant) is an Ability introduced in Generation VII. It is the signature Ability of Mareanie and Toxapex.

Effect

In battle

If the target is poisoned, Pokémon's attack will become critical hits, unless the Pokémon has Battle Armor or Shell Armor or is under the effects of Lucky Chant.

Outside of battle

It is unknown if Merciless has effect outside of battle.
