Conkeldurr (Japanese: ローブシン Roubushin) is the first Pokémon Red caught in the Unova region.

History

Conkeldurr was found in a box by Red, Pikachu and Clefairy while in a village. This Conkeldurr was actually one of the villager's Pokémon but it was on his break. Later, when Red left the village, Conkeldurr followed them and decided to join the team. Since then, he has helped Red in many situations such as when he got a cold.

Characteristics

Conkeldurr, as a member of Red's team, is shown to have some strengths as he was a Pokémon that was the villagers. As a result, he is considered the powerhouse on Red's side.

Trivia

• Conkeldurr replaces Tyrogue's role of traveling with Red.
• Conkeldurr is Red's first capture since Shiftry.
