A Ruin Maniac (Japanese: いせきマニア Ruin Maniac) is a type of Pokémon trainer that first debuted in the Generation III games. They are often depicted as stereotypical explorers, in Generation III as old men in safari outfits and pith helmets, and in Generation IV in a fedora and jacket, similarly to Indiana Jones.
They can usually be seen near any archaeological sites containing rare Pokémon or events.
They generally use Template:Type2 Pokémon, but the majority use Sandshrew and Sandslash.
