Trivia
- The VIZ Media second edition of this volume was released on the same day as Chuang Yi's translation of Volume 10 of Magical Pokémon Journey.
Errors
- In the VIZ Media second edition, Meowth's name is misspelled as "Mewoth" on page 52 and Slowpoke's name is misspelled as "Slowpoké" on page 63. On page 178, Silph Company is misspelled as "Sylph Company".
- At the end of the book on page 205, Raticate and Doduo are listed at the same level as Volume 4 despite Blue confirming earlier that Rattata had gone up in level just as it was evolving.
