With Wally's help, he was able to awaken and take command of Rayquaza, using it to calm {{p|Groudon}} and {{p|Kyogre}} in conjunction with Ruby's [[Red Orb|Red]] and [[Blue Orb]]s. When Norman fell under the strain of controlling Rayquaza without a proper medium, it escaped once again. It first appeared in ''[[PS258|Rayquaza Redemption I]]''.

While Rayquaza's power alone was insufficient to stop the battle, {{adv|Ruby}} was able to combine it with the powers of the [[Red Orb|Red]] and [[Blue Orb]]s, successfully stopping the conflict. Afterwards, Rayquaza broke free of the weakened Norman's control and fled.
