The Gen VI games now allow the player to choose a game language before starting a new save file, unlike previous generations where the game language depends on the region of the cartridge. This fact is present in [[Pokémon X and Y]] ("playable in all seven of the languages...") but not [[Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire]].
