Darkrai (Japanese: ダークライ Darkrai) is a Darkness-type Basic Pokémon card. It was released as a promotional card.

Release information

This card was released as a promotional card. In Japan, it was distributed at the theatrical release of Dialga vs. Palkia vs. Darkrai. The English version of the card was distributed with the Darkrai Premium Box in both playable and jumbo sizes.

Trivia

• This is the first DP Black Star Promo card released that is not a reprint of a card found in an expansion set (excluding the Tropical Wind promotional card given out at Worlds 2007, which had been reprinted from the previous promo series).

Origin

This Darkrai card is based off of the Nintendo event Darkrai given out in Japanese movie theaters playing Dialga vs Palkia vs Darkrai in July, 2007 and given out at Toys "R" Us stores at the end of May, 2008 in the United States. That Darkrai also had the attacks Roar of Time and Spacial Rend.
