Lightningrod (Japanese: ひらいしん Lightning Rod) is an ability introduced in Generation III that forces all Template:Type2 attacks in a Double Battle to strike the Pokémon with this abilty. This is useful because five of the Pokémon with this ability are not affected by Electric-type attacks, and the other two only take half the damage from them. Seven Pokémon have this ability. In a Single Battle, this ability has no noticeable function.
