| The Pokémon's only appearance came in ''[[AG079|Pearls are a Spoink's Best Friend]]''. After stealing {{p|Spoink}}'s pearl, Team Rocket came across the [[Magikarp Salesman]] who convinced Jessie to trade the pearl for what he claimed to be a {{p|Feebas}}. Jessie was reluctant at first until the salesman explained to her that Feebas evolve into {{p|Milotic}}, after which Jessie eagerly made the trade, despite the protests of [[James]] and [[Meowth (Team Rocket)| Meowth]].

| Later, Team Rocket was seen at a lake letting Jessie's "Feebas" swim around in a stream. The paint started to run, and soon it was revealed that the Feebas was actually a Magikarp. This discovery infuriated Jessie, and Team Rocket sought out the salesman to demand a refund. When they found the salesman, [[Ash Ketchum|Ash]] and his friends were already there. A battle ensued, during which the salesman escaped, and Magikarp was completely lost track of. Team Rocket was defeated in the end and the Pearl was returned to Spoink.
